Pros

I love this place, and wish I would have found it years ago. The company has unbelievable resources to get the job done right, as well as group of people willing to do the very best that they can. Our industry is thriving so I recommend anyone who is seeking a professional career in Food Science and Food Safety to try and apply to them. I have had the joy of working with people that are very focused at doing the best that they can do, and I am happy working here. I have gained very good friendships, acquaintances and opportunities. The owners, John and Gina care very much for their employees, and you are treated as if your opinion matters to them.

Cons

It is very competitive, and the work load can be taxing. FSNS is a fast paced environment with high turnover, so if you are not willing to devote yourself solely to work then this company is not for you. In the end please understand that you are working on something important and you make a difference. People need to understand that the perfect work place does not exist, and no matter where you go you will come across bad co-workers and managers.

Pros

Good people create a good lab environment, if you have a good team then everything moves well the job is a lot of fun but physically demanding.

Cons

Base salary isnt great but it goes up once you have continued to work there for over a year.

I do appreciate you taking time to give us your comments about your time at FSNS. We have a great team in Columbus as well as in all of our laboratories. Steve and Kellie are great managers and great people. We are fortunate to have each on our team. We have many success stories about FSNS employees climbing the management ladder. Steve started as a Technical Manager and now is a Lab Manager. Our Fresno lab manager started at nearly minimum wage 17 years ago and worked his way up. I wish you the best in your new job and please let me know how I can help you in the future. Sincerely, John Bellinger, CEO
