Pros

-Your coworkers are nice and will teach you accordingly -1 Hour Lunch break -Low Stress environment generally

Cons

-Expected overtime or they guilt you about making your coworkers work late. If you require people to work overtime an additional 4-7 Hours after their shift ends at 12 am, you have a severe lack of workers and need to expand instead of expecting others to overwork. -The pay is significant less than competitors and the work is way more, so much so that they had to make you sign a non-compete clause since everyone left to better and greener places. -I have never been in a lab where they don't provide you with stools or chairs under your lab bench. A long time worker there told me it was due to a decline in productivity since 1-2 workers were lazing around. This feels disrespectful to me since I am an adult not a child. Reprimand the workers wasting time, not take away everyone's stools and force workers to stand for 9+ hours. -Everyone Hates their job, but specifically management.

Pros

- Great if you're desperate and need a job - Good way to get experience on your resume - Most people there are friendly - You get to take food home that would otherwise be thrown out - Lots of room to learn if you ask the right people - Time goes by fast because there's always something to do - Ops manager is a reasonable, decent human being

Cons

- Benefits get stupid expensive if you have a family. - Feels more like a fast food job than I would've hoped. - Lots of repetitive tasks - Super understaffed - Work culture boils down to "be a slave to the company so they don't have to hire more people" - LM has questionable morals, but we manage

Pros

Look- there are benefits to working at FSNS, despite what some of these reviews say... but not that many. - Skills in problem management - Skills in handling disgruntled clients/ customers - Skills in high-pace environments - Good GLP experience - Decent Safety experience - ISO and FDA experience - SOPs are clear and user friendly, a lot of care put into the work itself But that is about it. For most workers who will visit this in their employment career, FSNS is just a laboratory that they once worked at.

Cons

The cons are much more significant in my opinion. - Local management will lie on yearly employee reviews - Local management and upper management lack professionalism (late to meetings, retaliatory towards issues, improper care of issues) - Local management hardly ever would enter the Main lab and interact/lead by example - Lack of local mgmt in main lab lead to disagreements between mgmt and main lab staff - Lack of oversight into training and QC of path and main lab documentation (HUGE ISSUE with ISO validation, if caught by the authorities they CAN and SHOULD lose this qualification) - Lack of care into employees: want cheap workforce that can be exploited until they either get laid off or until they quit - The email thing for "write a good review" on Glassdoor is INSANE. While I wasn't there for this period, if true, this is beyond anything any employer should do. - Retaliation is quite common, especially in management - In 2020: lack of Covid safety, huge outbreaks would occur in labs - Never was given the expected raise for probationary period completion (6 months), was there over a year. - Mgmt was wrong about vacation periods and lied to PT workers - Mandatory overtime - Destruction of working and competent groups, e.g. night-shift that was incredible was broken into day shift and productivity went down. - Lack of listening to employees, and would shift the lab without consent of staff for "efficiency"
