Pros

Ability to set your own hours to provide telehealth. Allows for flexibility in your schedule and more work-life balance. Positive work environment. Very supportive of dietitians and eager for feedback to improve systems and processes. Great benefits!

Cons

There is frequent change but also lots of opportunities to grow with this newer company.

Pros

Managers and higher ups are very supportive of the dietitians. Always asking how they can improve to make our jobs better! They really listen to feedback from the RD team and make effective changes that make doing our job more efficient. I.e. recent change to a new EHR customized for RD counseling sessions and new processes to quickly fill now show/last minute cancellation spots. Also-the benefits are great

Cons

newer company and still growing so there are a lot of changes that you need to keep up with. don't get to see your coworkers in person as much as I would like (once a year summits- would like to see this more often !) base salary.

Incredible company and mission

Pros

I've been with Foodsmart for a little over 1 year. I started as a 1099 contract RD and transitioned into a full time role in April. This is truly a wonderful company to work for. They care about their dietitians and they care about our patients. The mission behind Foodsmart is the first thing that interested me in this company (not to mention the flexibility as long as you are available a set 40 hours/week and remote position). I work primarily with the Medicare/Medicaid population and educate them on how to manage nutrition related conditions, access healthy foods within their budget, apply for SNAP benefits, and be that support and accountability that's just a phone call away that they otherwise would not have access to. I love that I get to meet with my "regular' patients on a weekly basis and spend an adequate amount of time with them to truly help them. I also get a variety of patients from other health plans, so the diversity in caseload and patient population is a plus as well. Gym/wellness reimbursement is great, bonus potential is important. Also, while this a remote position, I feel connected to my direct manager, coworkers, and upper management as they coordinate off site gatherings and weekly meetings to bridge the gap between remote work and every day socializing in an office.

Cons

The no show rate can be a downer, as that does not help with meeting bonus/performance metrics, however, as you build your patient base, this can improve.
