Pros

-Works with an underserved community in need of dietitian counseling -Understands the areas that dietitians can help -Wants to make a difference in employment for dietitians -Proactive in making improvements when there are challenges -Rewarding work with patients -No commute -improvements over the last year have been drastic and happy I stuck it out

Cons

-With new programs, there are challenges and growing pains. But responsive in trying to make things better. -Pay could be better on baseline, but there is bonus potential with performance. There is an understanding that dietitians should be paid more.

Pros

Innovative, collaborative, and rewarding company to work for. Very team-oriented and welcoming environment. Lots of potential for personal and professional growth.

Cons

Not a con, but a note that employees wear many hats to meet demand needs in the industry.

Pros

remote work, flexibility in schedule if 1099. If FT, you are extremely micromanaged on schedule and everything else.

Cons

If you've always wanted to be a dietitian, this is probably not the job for you. You will be working primarily as a social worker and Instacart support agent. Most patients don't care to talk about nutrition and are only there for the gift cards they are given. You waste hours dragging out phone calls to meet your required units. Foodsmart pays RDs the least amount that I have seen for remote work but claim to support their members who can't afford food, while giving no regard to the pay of their actual dietitians. No annual raises, no increase in pay for number of years of experience, no respect as a clinician.
