Probably the worst corporate job I'll ever have

Pros

-There's many restaurants near by the OKC office to choose from. -You'll create trauma bonds with some great coworkers that are all experiencing the same torture.

Cons

This company is stuck in the past. Processes are redundant and archaic with no software and too much unnecessary data tracking. The CEO and all of upper management are HEAVILY involved in all decisions and the day-to-day work of corporate positions (HR, Marketing, Accounting, Customer Care). Micromanagement is an understatement at this place, no matter the location. There's an issue with upper management not trusting the employees. Every single decision has to made by Mr. and Mrs. Ford. (I can also mention here they are so traditional that anyone with real authority must be called "Mr. Last Name" and the ones in power are only older white males, besides Mrs. Ford.) Because of this decision making process, it takes longer than an entire pregnancy to make even minor changes. This includes items like fighting for trash cans to be installed in the women's restroom stalls, holding morale-boosting events, or a performance review with a raise. Speaking of performance reviews, there are no annual reviews. At Ford AV, reviews are done by request only, leaving many employees to go 7+ years without a single pay increase or feedback if they aren't brave enough to demand it. Meanwhile, the 'favorites' get all the attention...and there is a ton of favoritism here. I've witnessed some people get special treatment, like the privilege to work from home, but another person with the exact same reason for needing to work remotely gets shut down with little explanation. So many things are on a case-by-case basis. There is no work from home policy and although they've been working on one for the last 3 years, I'll be surprised if it ever came to fruition because again, que favoritism, it's all controlled by HR and upper management. HR itself is a revolving door with the average tenure to be one year. Even HR managers don't last due to the amount of scrutiny from Mrs. Ford, with there being 5 HR manager changes from late '21 to mid '23. Corporate positions are overworked with little support and management does not listen when help is asked for. Any mistakes you make are beaten to death over and over again for months. Morale at the company is low, and although we've tried to chair fun morale events to help with this problem, they end up going through the long approval process and being denied. You'll be lucky to have holiday lunch potlucks where everything except the hotdogs, burgers, and buns is employee-provided. On that topic, the company is very greedy. Want to enjoy a cup of coffee at the office? That'll be a $3/month fee. Even the upstairs and east building microwaves were provided by employees...which means that the maintenance team often refused to clean them, since they are "not Ford property." They should also take more pride in their building for the sake of the employees. The bathrooms, break rooms, and floors throughout the building are disgustingly dirty and gross. I only saw them clean the floors once and it was because we were hosting tours of our corporate office for visitors all day. In summary, save your mental health by not going through the VERY lengthy application process with multiple tests (DISC, Wonderlic, math, grammar, typing, and 10-key for everyone, regardless of position) to receive mediocre pay, very little PTO, okay health benefits and tons of stress.
