Not Worth Working For

Business Outlook

Pros

Good at teaching technicians how to install.

Cons

Horrible management, low pay, not enough work in the area and you will travel for months at a time. Scheduler doesn't look at how far you live from job sites. Will old you back from position due to the fact they don't know what they are doing.

Do NOT work here!

Pros

The people you work with in your office are typically pretty nice and easy to get along with. I made several friendships while I was there. That is literally it, there are absolutely no other pros to working at this joke of a company.

Cons

I worked out of the Dallas division for several years and every day was torture. 1. Terrible Pay (They pay based off of Oklahoma City’s cost of living, regardless of which city you work in. They will go years before offering even the smallest raise. They place no value in their employees whatsoever, and look at everybody as very easily replaceable. 2. OUTDATED! Working for this company was like stepping into a Time Machine every day. Their joke of a system, “Anita” (which is only kept around because the owner created it, and it boosts his ego) crashes daily. Every single thing goes through Oklahoma City, their headquarters. Anything that needs to be ordered, from supplies, to computers to furniture, etc. It can often take weeks if not months to procure even the most basic of necessities for people to do their jobs. None of the other branches of this company are given even the slightest bit of autonomy. The number one reason this company will eventually fail, because the two 800 year old owners refuse to get out of the 70s. This is a midsize company, but they continue to run it like a little rinky-dink, mom-and-pop operation. What a clown show. 3. Upper management and the owners couldn’t care less about any of their employees. If you work at Ford, and you’re not in the upper echelon, you are seen as completely replaceable and unimportant. At any company social events, the owners don’t even care to talk to their employees, or they often just won’t even attend. You mean absolutely nothing to the people that run this company. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy. There are Admins at other companies, making more money than the engineers at Ford. Degreed, brilliant, engineers making less than admins. That is completely unacceptable, and a complete slap in the face to everybody that works at Ford.

To much red tape

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Strong job security if you are a good worker. Travel is required to a degree which makes for some good trips.

Cons

There is so much red tape and protocol to get something done that it takes to much time and effort to complete what should be a simple task. Pay secrecy is a problem and corporate is very open about the ban on pay discussion
