Pros

Strong camaraderie within direct team. Brand recognition made it easy to engage with prospects and clients.

Cons

Massive disconnect between frontline sales, Product & pricing teams, and Management and Executive leadership. “Customer-obsessed” was no more once the economy started to take a downturn and buyers cut their AR budgets. “We’re increasing entry-level pricing by 50%” was Forrester’s response. This made it impossible for reps to hit their quarterly and annual numbers much less come CLOSE to hitting Winner’s Circle. I used to be proud of the culture yet the layoffs showed that Forrester actually views employees as numbers.

Very depressing to watch things fall apart

Pros

Smart colleagues and interesting work.

Cons

For several years, Forrester felt like a great place to work. But when push came to shove (financial struggles) the executive team dropped its focus on employee-centric policies. Morale is now low. Layoffs, a sudden return to office policy change with no rationale, no raises or cost of living adjustments, and sales issues make it a really sad place. People make or break Forrester and people aren't happy.

Pros

I used to be super proud to work at Forrester.

Cons

This used to be a great place to work, I'm extremely disappointed in how our exec team has lead us in the last few months, with no hope for improvemet. Harsh layoffs have left teams with unrealistic work load burdens. We don't practice what we preach in our research. They have eliminated merit raises (that were never over 2.5% anyways), cut the bonuses, and expect everyone to pay to commute back into the office again with 2 weeks notice (prepare to pay $150 a month to park and no assigned desks). Customer Success is majorly underpaid compared to CS roles at other companies. Half the time I'm not even sure the exec team knows what the Customer Success org is. If you want a promotion in CS, prepare to jump through years of hoops and empty promises, and not being paid to do so.
