Pros

Smart people, pretty good pay, when people know what it is they're impressed.

Cons

Pretends to listen to employees - lots of surveys but no follow-through. Made in-office transition suddenly and without evidence for efficacy as a business decision, after aggressively promoting full-remote.

Pros

Great culture, people, work/life balance (if you have the right manager)

Cons

Where to begin. 1. C-Level leadership is completely disconnected with what's actually happening on the front lines. All time and energy and resources are focused on a select enterprise few accounts leaving the smaller core business and accounts to fend for themselves. 2. Sales compensation is ATTROCIOUS across the board. If you are looking for a promotion and pay bump, you are better off leaving and coming back to get more money. It seems that leadership does not value to work that goes into retaining and growing clients especially in the current economic climate we are living in. Salaries are not a negotiation, it's a "if you don't like it then leave" mentality. It's very hard to feel like a valued employee at the organization where you are not being compensated fairly for the massive amounts of work it takes to do this job. 3. Yearly plan number doesn't matter whatsoever and accelerators are not based on hitting year plan. Promotions, merit increases, over-achievement dollars, are totally based on if you hit your "CV plan" which is quota within your quota aligned to specific products that pump the Forrester stock price. If you crush your yearly plan number but miss your "CV" number you won't make any real money. I have not seen anything like this in my entire career in sales.

Pros

I have met some of the best people while working here. I truly feel blessed by the paths I've crossed. I had no idea what kind of world I was entering when I started here, but I learned an incredible amount. I'll list in bullet points the pros: - teammates/coworkers - flexibility - the initial support for moving in different parts of the org - internal promotions - clients you work with - overall knowledge obtained in different industries

Cons

The Forrester I joined in the beginning is not the Forrester when I left. Where do I even begin.....I do not think Forrester practices what they preach selling customer obsession. I do not think they are customer obsessed in the slightest. I bent over backwards to get things for my clients and on a rare occasion it was approved. I think the combination of covid, the economy flailing, and new product was a recipe for disaster. Read the room. Although there were initial plans for the new product to be released, I think understanding what the clients need in this moment of time is MOST important and how you will gain retention, but what do I know...I'm only an AM1 whose opinion doesn't matter. I am so tired of people being ok with things getting pushed under the rug. Our EX is a joke. Maybe they should read a report or two of their own. Employees are not made to feel supported. There is no transparency in the company. Things are handled very immaturely. Forrester is pushing out all of its amazing people, and I hope they start to see it. LISTEN TO YOUR PEOPLE ON THE FRONT LINE. They can give you the real answers. Live a day in their shoes.
