Pros

Working in a Fossil store, there are not many staff compared to larger retailers. This leads to your colleagues becoming some of your best friends, which is unusual working in a shop. The salary is higher than most establishments, which is obviously a plus! Fossil are very picky in who they employ, and choose to employ staff not for their selling abilities alone, but how likely they are to get on with staff and interact with the team, which I think is great! Having worked in other retail shops I can safely say Fossil is up there with the best!

Cons

There can be a huge lack of communication from senior management. It takes forever to get a response from them and even longer for them to actually get something done. This is one of the only things that reduces morale amongst the staff. There is a bit of a lack of praise also. When staff have rallied around and worked their behinds off in times of need, there is not so much as a thank you when things go back to normal. This is mainly due to senior management not fully recognising the time and effort those working in the stores put in.

Pros

employee discount is pretty slick, the music is good in the store, store's are pleasant to be in and are not hazardous, our store has it's own washroom in the mall.

Cons

really wasteful company...if a product isn't performing well they make us destroy it (ie cut up purses, smash watches)....lots of store props get shipped in but never used and then thrown away....way too much packaging.... if you're closing with the manager you have to stay as long as it takes them to finish despite being scheduled to end earlier...
