Pros

Flexible PTO. Beautiful and interesting products. Provide employee discounts. Convenient and easy parking. Free snacks and lunches sometimes provided.

Cons

Heavily lacking in diversity, which is completely non-existent at management level. Zero transparency and poor communication from upper management, which ultimately hurts lower management and causes a lot of unnecessary confusion and tension throughout departments. Toxic environment with little to no care for staff well-being from upper management and HR. Understaffed, low pay, and employees are completely overworked and under supported. HR is a huge mess, is understaffed, and is helpless with any complaints or issues. Company culture has a big emphasis on drinking heavily (HR and execs included). Certain departments are obviously favored and receive special treatment and perks. Fun job if you are newly out of college, like to party frequently, and want to find a short-term job to start your career, but for anyone else know there is little to no opportunity to grow and your voice will not be heard.

Pros

Four Hands (down) has an outstanding culture full of free snacks in the kitchen, happy hours, fun events, Summer Fridays, and heavily discounted furniture. In addition to the tangibles, the support and collaboration we have in built in our culture is unlike anything I've seen before. The organization is full of hardworking and dedicated employees who like to WIN as a team. If you are the type of person who thrives in a creative environment, enjoys a challenge, and are open to evolving with a growing company, this is a great company for you.

Cons

Four Hands is truly a fast paced company, and processes are not set in it's ways. If you are most comfortable working in a very structured environment where you can coast along, you may find it overwhelming to work here. At the end of the day, the work is rewarding and the most successful employees are from those who are motivated to go the extra mile.

Pros

Nice facility, friendly colleagues and a good story to how the business started and progressed in its infancy

Cons

Upper management is not necessarily open to constructive criticism or changes about enhancing the company culture, work-life balance or additional team building. Weekend warehouse sales are expected to be worked with no pay for salaried employees and they are incredibly disorganized.

Thank you for your candid feedback about your experience as an employee with Four Hands. It is unfortunate to hear that your experience did not meet the standards that we strive for. That being said, it is important to note that given the fact that the position you held with Four Hands has not existed in 10+ years, we hope that visitors to this review understand that a lot can change over the course of a decade and our efforts to create an engaging and fulfilling experience for our employees has been prioritized and completely redesigned during this time. It is also worth mentioning that in the past, we have asked our employees to step in and support our annual warehouse sales in order to provide a better experience for our customers. However, it has never been required, and our salaried employees that do support these weekend sales are offered "comp" days that they can use as they wish. With that, please know that your feedback has not fallen on deaf ears and our teams will take your comments into account as we continue to focus on building our culture and employee experience.
