Pros

There are many opportunities to move up within the company, they offer great benefits, including the luxury of staying at any Four Seasons Hotel/Resort anywhere in the world for free.

Cons

There is lots of negativity among the staff. Though the culture is supposed to reflect "the golden rule", there are lots of politics going on behind the scenes.

The reality of working for Four Seasons Hotels.

Pros

Four Seasons has a reputation as a leader in high-end hotel and resort service. The company is recognized, world-wide, as an innovator in consistent, high level, guest service.

Cons

Unfortunately, the reality "behind the curtain" is that many Four Seasons employees are pushed to the breaking point by a set of standards that are, often, impossible to achieve with the tools and resources that are provided. A single concierge, for example, can not do a job that, normally, requires 3 on a shift. Two bellmen on a shift simply cannot adequately cover a job that requires 4 people. Broken furniture and equipment needs to be replaced immediately - not left to the "jury rigging" of staff for months on end. At some point, it simply becomes impossible to do a given job as prescribed in protocols, no matter how hard the staff is trying. And, over bearing managers whose main concern is the next step up the ladder and jumping from one resort to another, every 2 or 3 years, do not help the situation.
