Pros

I have been working in this company for the last 4 years and few things which I have liked about the company are - Freedom, few amazing peers (at least for me) and exposure to clients. It's a very jolly environment and sometimes work pressure is never felt due to the atmosphere.

Cons

Every year i continue to work and assess the company, I see it is on a decline in terms of people quality. Company has become a place where a person is not getting credit on the basis of work, effort he/she puts in, instead the growth/appraisal is directly related to how much he/she can do buttering of their managers. There is no consistency in appraisal parameters, evaluation criteria across accounts, just related to how much your manager likes you. HR have been useless through out with poor/inconsistent hiring across organization. Apart from hiring, they are expected to perform their jobs 2 times a year- during Mar and Oct appraisal cycles and they screw up big time over there as well. Inconsistency across accounts in Fractal is hurting people big time- giving counter offers, onsite roles, promotions simply when people put papers. It destroys the overall dynamics, motivation of people across other accounts. Just because of poor decision making by HR's/other account leaders, other folks in company are impacted. I will give an example here- 2 people from same team put their papers- For one, salary was matched giving an absolute hike of 2-3 LPA and then promoted to Lead, for other person, he was promoted to Senior Consultant within a year even though he served 1 month of notice period in the same duration. Who is to be held accountable for this? Or are we setting example that people should put their papers and then they will be rewarded? Why can't be proactive to identify the right people whom we want to keep and duly offer them instead of saying that it is against the company policy. Trust me, we are failing big time and at the end, all good people will leave. Somewhere, someone has to take accountability else others will go as well.
