Walk with Caution

Pros

Good friendly employees The Cafe Casual Jeans on Friday, (but you have to pay for it )

Cons

Management is terrible, basically you have a situation where Mr. Crum’s kids are running the company and it’s going downhill quickly. You enter the workspace feeling like a professional with glamour shots and a good onboarding experience and after that it’s a game of Russian roulette and who likes you. Your work skills really don’t matter if you’re not in with the crowd. HR is awful, rude they can’t even do basic procedures in a correct manner.

Toxic and discriminatory cult of Crum

Pros

Some of the employees are friendly

Cons

More like a cult than anything. You’re expected to kowtow to the family, never question why things are done and especially don’t suggest any ways they can be improved. Managers openly conspiring (usually with HR) to fire people they don’t like. Rampant transphobic, racist, sexist, ableist comments and conversations that go all the way up to the Crum family commenting about how to stop hiring certain demographics and avoid legal repercussions. Their “family culture” includes enabling the affairs of executive leaders by paying off their spouse to quit and the “core values” they preach are, like everything there, nothing more than a meticulously curated distraction, designed to gain your buy-in to the collective delusion that anything but the company’s outward appearance matters.

We take employee feedback seriously, and we're sorry to hear you had such a negative experience with us. That said, we strongly disagree with your description of our workplace and the allegations you've made. These claims don't match our values, how we actually operate, or what the vast majority of our team experiences. A few points we need to address directly: We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination of any kind. We have clear policies in place and established channels for employees to report concerns. Any discriminatory behavior results in immediate action. Our HR team follows proper procedures for all employment decisions. Performance issues and terminations are documented and handled according to employment law. We genuinely value different perspectives and ideas. We have an open-door policy and regularly ask employees to share suggestions for improvement. We know no company is perfect, and clearly, you felt something went wrong in your situation. If you're open to it, we'd be willing to discuss your specific concerns in more detail through HR or a Co-President. We wish you the best going forward.

Could be Worse

Pros

Never a dull moment. Plenty of flexibility and challenge. Single contributor can make a huge impact. Stay in line and you have a job for life.

Cons

SDLC is make it up as you go with Agile labels on Old School Waterfall that focus on pretty slides not working software. User Stories are expected to be Functional Designs, and PMs create crazy deadlines based on no info that POs are held to. No principles or direction. Groups work against each other instead of acting as a team. Defect and failure rates are sky high.
