Pros

Fred Meyer has a great corporate structure, with good people in place from top to bottom. They treat their employee's well, offer good incentives, have tons of resources and invest money back into their stores with regular remodels, product upgrades and innovative ways to make the customer experience better.

Cons

While Fred Meyer has many good programs in place, Kroger (who owns Fred Meyer) likes to screw with things a little bit. Often, they implement new programs or ways of doing things that just don't fit wor work well in Fred Meyer. Fred Meyer also provides slightly below average pay and does not have good work/home balance support.

Pros

+ Flexible scheduling for students. + Employees are friendly to each other and help each other out. + It is extremely hard to get fired due to roundabout disciplinary policies. + Benefits are decent if you can last a year to qualify for them.

Cons

- Store leadership does not care about the needs of any department so long as they look good when the Big Boss comes through. - Departments are perpetually understaffed. - Scheduling is inconsistent and hours are given out based entirely on how much they like a given employee. - Some store leaders are completely unaware of how the departments under them work, leading to unrealistic demands and absolutely no help from the upper managers when problems arise. - The hourly pay is inconsistent and varies widely between departments and associates, and personal raises are impossible to acquire. - Upper managers do not care about the well-being of their associates whatsoever.

Pros

The job itself was fine ig, it was a warehouse and I sat in a room typing so.

Cons

I got fired for asking a question to clarify something I was supposed to do. The floor lead had been icing me out and rude to me since I got hired for no reason (literally, never spoke to her and I tried to be friendly to her but she just kept being cold) and immediately jumped down my throat and put me in a defensive position because she wanted to know if she could trust me to do the job correctly?? Never actually answered my question and I was direct with her and another coworker, not rude. I'm ND so when I am direct a lot of NT people take it as me being rude. I never did anything to her, and ofc the higher up sided with her and immediately threw me out because I just wanted an answer to a question and she wanted to make it into me being aggressive. If you are autistic, ADHD, BP or any other form of ND, I would not work here. It's clear they do not understand ND individuals and will try to find a reason to fire you of they don't like you without even giving a chance to get to know you.
