Pros

Coworkers are positive and encouraging to each other. Great company culture. Work life balance is highly valued and respected.

Cons

Restructuring has been handled poorly. Management seems lost and unreachable. Yet this has not hurt employee moral. Unsure if career development is available

Pros

Employee discount. The ability to earn up to five weeks of vacation. Salaried associates don't have to take a penalty day (no pay) for a multi day absence or a one day absence. They are seemingly a company that is committed to promoting from within.

Cons

Different Store Directors and Regional Supervisors are all held to a different standard that appears to be based on their past performance ie.. if a Director has always performed at 100% and dips to 90% he or she is considered substandard. However if a Director is always late, makes no contribution to the location where they work and who's absentee performance is well below standard and the make a change that leaves him/her taking 4 sick days a month to 3 sick days a month they are considered successful because of the improvement. Regionals that improve their personal agendas that have nothing to do with their roles or the company and are knowingly doing this are performing fine. Regionals that can't meet the qualifications of their job description are overlooked, yet can't climb a flight of stairs. Regionals that spend two years settling financial business with totes of boxes filling his work space and are clearly noticeable and is on the phone constantly conducting personal business, but has a reputation as a huge contributor five years ago is allowed to proceed as he wishes. Yet regionals who spend enormous amounts of time working well past what is expected including days off, or a Regional or Director that is completely committed to the job, mentors, trains and follows all policies are considered performing at mediocrity because they are not thumbing their chests announcing their efforts.
