No capital for expansion of services. Poor communication by leadership.

Pros

Ability to make good money if you exceed your objectives. Benefits are good.

Cons

Senior leadership ( Regional and SLT ) give the impression that they only want to hear that their ideas are working well. Many manage by using fear tactics. When they visit the field, people are fired more than acknowledged. Engineering run company with little capital to expand high bandwidth services to new customers. Employees and coached on how to answer internal employee surveys.

Pros

It's a job and it pays on time

Cons

Two Faced Management: Promise one thing and does something completely different, Underpays per position, Doesn't base promotions on ability, When they say it's a promotion expect to take a pay cut, offers employees little help in software and hardware to do their jobs: Expect to jury-rig and suffer daily outages just for internal systems, and little care for the well fare of the employees - It's all about numbers and not for the people that work there.

Pros

In the early 1990's, Frontier (Rochester Tel at the time) was all about their employees. We used to have company picnics, elaborate sales kickoffs and wonderful holiday parties. And they provided great training to their new employees. But as the company grew, things changed.

Cons

Once the leadership moved out of Rochester, NY to Stamford, CT things started on a downward spiral. The focus became all about money and the bottom line, and no longer about customers and/or employees.
