- If there is any company that could really gain from the repeal of Net Neutrality, it's Frontier. Beware possible future customers. They do lock you in to contracts.
- There is no room for growth.
- No matter the department you are in or knowledge you have, there is no compensation. You make the same as everyone else, regardless of how long you have been there or having tested and trained to be in more specialized department.
- There is no room for advancement because the company is struggling to stay afloat and has demoted people or has given signed raise appraisals which were later retracted.
- Favoritism runs amok, unhindered.
- You are given basic tools to do your daily job that are required but frequently break.
- Communication between departments is excruciatingly horrendous. No one knows what they should be handling and the company has taken away certain abilities to make sure certain departments are properly able to do their job correctly.
- Extreme lack of training for within department to have sufficient knowledge on what they should or should not be doing and how to do it.
- Lack of Quality Assurance department that's entire purpose is devoted to making sure rules and regulations are followed. (i.e. Customer service sending out proper equipment, technical support putting in proper trouble tickets, field technicians actually showing up at customer's residences to complete work etc.)
- Personal performance stats are largely based around things the floor tech has no control over. (i.e. having to send field technicians because of cheap equipment breaking, customer's calling back in (repeater rate) even if it was for a completely different issue like billing etc.) This in turn creates a dog eat dog atmosphere where techs are passing customers on to other techs to avoid having to put in trouble tickets that damage their own stats among other plentiful examples.
- Accountability is 0%. Customer Service shuts down accounts and creates new ones to get the sale and doesn't inform the customer of such. Field techs are marking that they have called the customer when they have not. The examples are endless.
- The focus on sales for TECHNICAL SUPPORT is atrocious. That's what Customer Service (also known as Sales in 90% of companies worldwide) is for. Customers want the services they already pay for to work but we are forced to shove mediocre products down their throat. Maybe this company should invest in upgrading their infrastructure and making sure the main services they provide even at the lowest cost level works properly before trying to sell other garbage products that other companies give for free. Like antivirus software.
All in all, I understand you will always have issues within companies but these are unlike anything I have ever witnessed. They have people working in their tech department that barely understand the equipment that they are supposed to be assisting customers with beyond the picture they see of the equipment.
