Pros

Employees that are not sales hungry upper management are usually great to work with.

Cons

Bad upper management. So focused on sales that they are forgetting about the customers they already have. Call centers cause a lot of wasted money and poor customer satisfaction for the outside technicians.(This is because all the systems don't work together so its not the call centers fault), its the upper managements fault. They know of the problems but don't care. They constantly put employees in bad situations with unhappy customers because of failed procedures.

Pros

It's not the worst place in the world to work, but... I'm not generally a negative person, but I am finding it difficult to list Pros- -decent pay and benefits -good people at the local level that actually care, want to provide good service and take care of customers -It is satisfying when you are able to provide good service and deliver products that make a positive difference in the customer's business. But it takes sooo much effort to deliver.

Cons

It's a very difficult environment to work in: systems & applications that aren't integrated, requiring repetitive entry of information and too much hands-on follow-up activity; cross-department support teams that pass the buck, don't communicate, and don't follow through. There is no quality assurance and the same people make the same errors over and over. In many job functions, the company doesn't provide proper training or the tools to adequately perform the job function, which sets the employee up for failure and effects a poor customer experience. The outside plant is in major need of rehab. Network performance suffers from high-utilization / severe congestion causing high packet loss - slow Internet - and very poor user experience. The company has a very poor reputation in many local area markets due to product performance, repair times, frequent issues on new installs, billing issues. The product offering is limited and not competitive in speed/price. Very few reps hit their number. High-stress & mentally exhausting. Expect to work 50-60 hour weeks.

Pros

Great pay, good benefits. Friendly staff and crew. Everybody is willing to cross job descriptions to help eachother out. Long hours and guaranteed work 6 days a week, all you need to do is volunteer and you've got it! The management is always willing to work with you should you have any kind of family situation without hesitation and if you're scheduled on a saturday but need it off there are other tech's who will switch saturday's with you. Overall an excellent job.

Cons

It is an industry where no matter what you do the only information you hear are the negative reviews. You're always inundated with complaints from customers even if it isn't the/our network that is the issue. We judge performance based on repeat rates/ miscommit rates but those number don't reflect the actual situation as accurately as some people may think, fortunately upper management is aware of this.
