Pros

Very few. Although some coworkers are good people to work with. Another pro is hopefully I'll be a former employee soon.

Cons

When I accepted this position I was warned by everyone that I've ever worked with that I would regret working for Frontier. Boy, were they right. They've had multiple open requisitions to hire and nobody in Rochester will interview there. Too much intellectual property is only known by long term contractors. And, now their contracts are being terminated no exceptions end of June. That is going to create extreme hardships in some systems because the employees on those teams haven't done anything in years. This company is in a death spiral.

What joke

Pros

Steady work in uncertain times. Lack of procedures actually means you have to think on your feet, so you learn stuff quicker.

Cons

Place is a joke. The TTL (take the lead) was started for non-sales people to submit leads for sales, and to capture the opportunities by field personal. That was many years ago, and now it is highly abused and there is high pressure from management to "beat" the other groups for the amount of leads... To the point that highly paid technical folks are pulled from their jobs to push sales, many time with VERY minor revenue. All for middle managers to "look good" and get their bonuses There are no raises here, so negotiate as you come in the door. Since this is a sales based org, management from top down has been selected for their sales and marketing backgrounds, and there is little respect for the technical aspects of the business... When their is a problem there is a witch hunt to figure out whodunit... And there must be a scapegoat. Little investment into procedures and network equipment... To the point customers question our internal procedures.
