Pros

Great benefits, for example: great insurance, retirement, PTO to name a few. Ever since I was out of training I was able to enjoy all these benefits. To this day I am still proud of where I work. Compared to other jobs in this area, Frontier is by far THE BEST.

Cons

There are no cons. I come to work and leave work at the door. In my 7 years of working here, I have never had a problem with balancing my work and life. It is a very enjoyable place to work at. I am proud to call Frontier my second home!

Pros

In rural America a job at Frontier can be a good paying "job for life".

Cons

This is an old industry with many challenges in 2014 and beyond. Frontier was about 5,000 employees in 2010 and grew to almost 15,000 as a result of their Verizon acquisitions. The Former Verizon employees were used to higher pay, richer benefits etc. because they worked for a company that subsidized the money-losing old phone company they worked for with a hugely profitable wireless operation. When they got acquired by an old fashioned phone company, reality set in. And for them (now 2/3 of the company) reality bites! Verizon wanted no part of them and were glad to sell them off. Many took pay cuts and had to pay for their healthcare benefits (like 99% of America!). Frontier (reality) rocked their worlds. So I'm not surprised by the negative comments.

Pros

My leaders are inspiring and start with "why?" for every directive (instead of starting with "what?"). I have creative freedom to better my performance and learn from others in the organization. Everybody is open to ideas on how to improve the business, and managers implement the good ideas with enthusiasm.

Cons

There is no formal mentor program, so it's harder to seek out ways to learn from others than it has been with previous employers.
