Pros

Pay for manufacturing is above average and good benefits Greenfield site transitioning to brown so never boring Good for early career. Being a newish site with few established procedures means you learn faster and take on more responsibility for early. It is relatively easy to make lateral moves to other departments after starting in manufacturing (not so much growing within your own) Most people here are kind and hardworking

Cons

Facility is incredibly siloed. Things which would be formal documented processes anywhere else come down to consulting specific individuals here, and your success is dependent on tracking down and building relationships with said individuals. Makes it difficult to figure out what everyone else is doing even when it affects your job. This makes the site cliquey but is improving Getting things done fast here always wins out over things being done right. Poor upward mobility within your role. You can’t be promoted up a level (i,e II to III) til someone at that level leaves that role. Leadership generally our of touch but where aren’t they

Pros

… nothing. Zilch! Nothing good left in this company.

Cons

The company used to be such a nice place to work at, with job stability and a bright future but then, everything went up in smoke. Now it’s turned into a holiday home for a select few and a black hole that sucks in the joy from your life for the other vast majority. Favouritism is astonishing, and not in a good way! The SLT seem to only spend their time trying to find new ways to disappoint the employees and make their time at work that little bit more difficult! The rules don’t apply to the favourites, countless coffee/smoke breaks, easiest tests imaginable, unlimited sick leave and nonstop praise for ‘nothing’ from management, but then the other half that actually get the job done always get overlooked and are told to work harder! The QC has shrank so much in the last two years, it’s ridiculous. More workload, less people and then the management is surprised when tests are missed or there are too many fails. This is not rocket science, just hire some people!! No one wants to move to QC internally, since they all have heard the horror stories. We keep losing good, hardworking helpful analysts and are left with the ‘better than thou’ bunch that believe they’re too good to do anything but complain and spread rumours. This place is worse than a high school drama with the baseless rumours, petty behaviour and cliques of bullies. The mean girls rule the place with an iron fist and the rest just can barely survive below them. Bonus and payrise are a joke! If we manage to get any, which we barely do, it doesn’t even scratch the surface of cost of living! And they have so many laws and regulations in place to hold on to their money it’s absurd! If you walk left instead of right, you are not eligible for a bonus, which is paid at the end of June - no backpay for the missing months either and the payrise starts in July as if people don’t have expenses! Only thing they’re good at is false advertising and empty promises!
