      Limited opportunities for growth in a gossip-heavy culture

      Pros

      This is a fine job for entry level pharmaceutical manufacturing for about a year or two, but not much more. Decent compensation and fairly good benefits from day one of hire.

      Cons

      Not many career building opportunities, unless you want to be a technician for years and years. Continual senior management shuffling and promises of improved company culture without much tangible outcome. Regular daily culture of gossip and cynicism. Heavy focus on "this is just how we do things" kind of attitude throughout the company. Formal communication often comes well after rumors of all shapes and sizes have fully dispersed, and last minute implementation makes up the bulk of decision making.

      Pros

      For new grads, very good to get an idea of how CDMOs and pharma companies work. Learn a lot about regulation and cGMP.

      Cons

      They don't pay well and don't give that much of raise to stay with inflation. Especially for an area like ventura where rent prices are higher, makes living very stringent.

      Pros

      Flexibility with home/work life. Good benefits and pay. Good entry level jobs that can offer experience to people new to the field. Has potential to grow and funnel resources to places where its needed most.

      Cons

      Bad workplace environment. Toxic work culture. Lack of necessary competent training within departments. Not holding low performers accountable. Sense that people don't know much and are afraid to speak up. Lack of mentorship which goes hand in hand with training and experience and development of skills and career goals. Systemic issues run rapid at this site. High turnover and employee dissatisfaction. Many people leave with bad impression of the company and how things are run which ruins internal moral and desire to do the right things.
