Pros

Worked from home 100% of the time.

Cons

Generally speaking, people are mean and disrespectful to customer service staff. this is not the companies fault, it is just a fact of life. But it makes doing any kind of customer service job, including tech support, a horrible thing to deal with. Even if you have the thickest of skin, it still sucks to talk to 20, 30 , 40 people a day who are just upset and have no regard for other humans. Not sure if this is a con or not, just felt off putting. FPS tries to sell you on going to a for-profit college, what I feel is a scam school. And they push a crappy payday lending service first thing in training. Both of these things right away in the first day of training. I understand alternative revenue streams and I can only assume FPS gets some kick backs, but it felt like a crappy thing to do to people. Last con, which again is really subjective. They hire people in lower income countries to be the supervisors and team leads. So you may report to someone making a third of what you are making. And they don't get the same benefits schedule or anything. It's just kind of awkward. It is obvious they are outsourcing the jobs to other countries as much as possible, but most customer service sections are trending towards coming back to the US for US based customers. So we end up with this weird dynamic of off-phone jobs in customer support going towards "off shore" lower paid staff and the on-phone jobs going to higher paid Americans. It just gets weird sometimes being in that situation.
