      When I just started it was good. Over the years more and more unnecessary work was added.

      Pros

      Lots of time off, good benefits. They are moving in the right direction with menu items and quality of food.

      Cons

      Too much unnecessary paper work which makes your daily work harder. They are using Staffing agencies to fill food service positions. I understand the business concept behind this, but this leads to high turnover.

      Pros

      Gave everyone a 3% raise this year while other systems are still furloughing teachers. Competitive pay and benefits. High commitment toward student growth and achievement.

      Cons

      In the effort to make poor teachers accountable, the evaluation process is demoralizing good teachers and causing burn out. Stress levels among teachers is high.

      Pros

      Retirement is pretty good. Number of working days per year is 233, which is low compared to corporate jobs.

      Cons

      There is NO opportunity for advancement. Upper management picks who they want before the job is even available/posted so you have a very little chance to move up. They will string you along and say something might be coming to give you hope for years. Pay is ok but not great, especially for technology. People leave permanent and come back as contractor to get paid closer to industry average. Work/Life balance is terrible, they want to pay you for the low number of working days but expect you to work literally all the time, nights/weekends/holidays.
