Pros

I made some of my best friends working there. People think it's super cool when you tell them you work at Funko (oh, if only they knew). You might get some Pops. But all the cool points and pops in the world didn't make it worth it in the end.

Cons

Having been an employee of Funko for 8 years, clearly there were reasons why I stayed. Its hard to recall what those things were, because the last couple of years working there got so bad. In the beginning, I loved going to work. In the end, my stress and anxiety was through the roof. That placed aged me ten years, I swear... When I started there in 2013, Funko was a sweet little 50 employee company running out of a small office in Lynnwood. I loved it. And as the company grew, it was fun and exciting, and I remember thinking I wanted to work there forever. Things *drastically* changed once Funko went public. What started as a strong "We are a family!" feeling quickly turned into "You are all replaceable". Hard work was under appreciated at best; it was never good enough. When covid hit, we were still expected to be in the office. It wasn't until lockdown happened that we were finally "allowed" to work from home, but not without a harsh company wide email letting us know that if productivity dare dropped at all, our heads would be on the chopping block. Layoffs happened in June of 2020 and I was one of the 250 employees that was let go. Honestly, it was a relief. I was ready to leave and this was just the push I needed. But still, seeing my 8 years of hard work dismissed like that did feel like a big slap in the face. I really did love Funko in the beginning, and I am honestly sad to see what it has become. This started out as a great job, when it was just a small private toy company that seemed to truly value it's hard working employees. But it is an entirely different company than what it was when I started. I promise you, working for Funko is not as fun as it may seem from the outside.

Pros

The only pro to working for funko is working outside of the United States, or in the Washington headquarters. If you're in Arizona, know that Funko will not go above and beyond the bare bones minimum to make you safe, respected, while working for them.

Cons

You will be seen as an easily replaceable cog in a machine that is Funko. They will not go above the bare minimum to ensure your safety at work. They will not go above to make you feel like a valued employee. You will not be trained properly and still be expected to do tasks, and will be reprimanded if it is incorrect. You are assumed to be a possible thief when entering their building, there is no clear communication between shifts, the lack of actual safety training and oversight is terrifying. This con list can go on for a while. Literally take this job only if you need to know what a warehouse shouldn't operate like.

Pros

Benefits, semi-flexible hours, and coworkers made the job at least manageable

Cons

Everything else, leadership is constantly changing and rules and procedures are extremely unclear, depending on the department you're in there is absolutely no respect for other departments and complete neglect on helping with accommodations for a disability. The culture here can be extremely bizarre, and if you're a person who just wants to show up, do their job, and go home this place is not for you, I was constantly being guilted into various events and hangouts.
