Pros

You can take customers out to nice lunches - a nice way to escape from the toxic environment.

Cons

Easily the worst place to work. The benefits are terrible, upper management has no clue how to manage salespeople, and success s based entirely on luck - either you find the part or you don't. Even if you build strong relationships, it doesn't matter if you can't source the part, and you're penalized for it. The monthly quota is unrealistic in slow markets, with no flexibility expect to be on call 24/7. The work environment is toxic, extremely cliquey, and just overall uncomfortable. Managers do not handle things professionally. The commission structure is awful.

Growing Company, Lots of Opportunity

Pros

A ton of growth opportunity in a stable industry. People who join can make a pretty immediate impact. I've learned a lot since being here and feel very supported by management. There's a lot of upward mobility here - they like to promote from within which is great. If you're doing good work, you can move up quickly. I've been here a little over a year, and the company has almost doubled in size. I like the fact that we have people here who are from many different backgrounds and can give different perspectives. It's nice to see a lot of women in leadership positions (when that's rarely the case elsewhere, unfortunately). Employee retention is very strong here as well. There's a good mix of people who had been with the company for many years, but a lot of new faces are being added. Since I started, we've had extremely high retention - particularly for sales (definitely demanding but you can make a ton of money - people who value that do very well). It's a morale boost to not lose coworkers.

Cons

Can't think of any off the top of my head.
