A catastrophic company

Pros

They have an ok tech stack, SFDC, Slack, Highspot, but also use Outlook.

Cons

Horrendous product to sell. Clunky, dated, old fashioned, over-priced, lack of support. Competitors are offering a far better service for half the price, and reps are being blamed for losing deals. Company has no identity, they’ve hired cheap and are trying to pretend they are a tech company but it’s all so fake. SLT are dinosaurs. Salaries are about 70% of what competitors are paying. No share options. Revenue leaders are an absolute embarrassment, most joined as sales reps 3/4 years ago and have now clogged up junior and middle management positions with absolutely no experience. Some absolute spoofers in there reading blogs and LinkedIn posts and trying to pass it off as training. So transparent. Zero accountability from managers and “sales directors”. Pointed fingers at reps for their org doing about 20% of quota and sacked about 10% of staff in November and are advertising their jobs already. The epitome of a toxic culture.

Thank you for posting about your experiences as a G-P employee. Your comments around culture, management, and training concern us as they are not consistent with our values and our leadership principles – or with our approach to learning and development. The realignment of our teams that you reference was not a decision we took lightly. Our path forward necessitated that we better align our teams with our multi-year plan. And although it impacted less than 10% of our team globally, we know that it was significant for every person it affected – including our current employees. Since you are still with G-P, we encourage you to participate in our upcoming all-employee survey to ensure your voice is heard. Additionally, we invite you to take this conversation offline by emailing us glassdoor@globalization-partners.com. We will connect you with the right internal resources to address the root causes of your concerns. Wishing you the best going forward.

Pros

I thought GP was a good employer, they had a good vision but everything seemed to changed when the CEO and management changed. The only good think about this company is that they are genuinely remote.

Cons

Tell me if a company really cares for their employees if how they perform a layoff is this way: 1. Continue spending on events abroad, fly people to different countries for team buildings, and during these events talk about how the company is "doing well" and "the future looks great" 2. Suddenly, one day, all in the same day, set a meeting with the exiting employee, and tell them they are being laid off right before the Christmas holidays, without zero explanation on what or why this happened, and tell them that same day is their last day. 3. The HR is obviously reading a script when telling you you are being laid off - no empathy whatsoever. 4. No light on how the company chose who will stay and go, tenured ones who had setup the company foundations got laid off while those who have been in the company less than 3 months got to stay. 5. Because there was no company announcement when the layoffs happened, current employees kept asking the exiting employees what was happening. Imagine getting laid off already, then having to deal with the stress of multiple colleagues asking you what happened and if they are part of it all, while you also have no idea yourself. Also, aside from the massive layoff, GP started becoming political and bureaucratic when the management changed. The executives are good at spouting flowery words, but truth be told you can't understand their vision or even the rationale behind their decisions. Do not get employed here if you want job security.

While we are glad you enjoyed aspects of G-P’s culture, we are concerned about what you feel drove our recent changes in team structure. The realignment of our teams you reference, which affected less than 10% of G-P globally, was not a decision made lightly and was not based on changes in leadership or executive preference. As often happens in business, our path forward necessitated that we better align our teams with our multi-year plan. We do understand that this change was significant for every person it affected. We understand that this change is not easy and our priority when making these changes was to do so with care and compassion. We will continue to invest in and support our people with a dedication to building a culture of inclusivity and diversity. We want to reiterate that we value everyone’s contributions at G-P. Please lean on the resources we have provided during this time of transition. We wish you all the best in your future career endeavors.

Pros

- Ar first everything was great, could even say the best company I had ever worked for… this did not last. - Good benefits.

Cons

-Globalization partners does massive layoffs every year, it is not important if you are a great or horrible employee, it’s more like they pick your name out of a box. Employees are no longer motivated to give their 100% because they know no matter how great you are you could be next. -Very relationship based. -They don't care if you are on maternity leave…your name is also inside the box of people who are up next.
