Pros

Working with great and supportive people.

Cons

Constant shift and management. One day you can be working and the next be fired for no specific reasons other than a "decision by management".

Pros

Health insurance is paid by the company

Cons

The company strategy shifts like the weather, it is impossible to keep up and causes staff to be very uneasy. Morale is very low. Staff are let go constantly, there is no exception to this and no one is safe. The manner in which lay-offs are handled are appalling whether you have been there from day 1, are a very high performer, have just been hired, even people on maternity leave, you can lose your job on a whim when the company decides to change their 'focus' yet again. G-P is a remote first company and yet there is a tiny allowance of just 200eur to get office equipment. They do not cover the cost of office furniture - desks or chairs. You are expected to cover all of that yourself. The discrepancies in pay between US and EMEA staff doing the exact same roles with the same titles are huge.

Pros

When I joined the team 3 years ago it was a dream role. Exciting business, huge growth mentality and by all accounts an industry leader. I suppose it’s true what they say if something seems too good to be true it generally is ….

Cons

These past two years have seen leadership make mass layoffs in late November/ Early December which is starting to look like a trend at GP. There is a huge element of secrecy internally about them as if the remaining staff don’t know what has been happening, but suddenly a colleague will disappear from a slack channel that is how ruthless they are! They manage to keep a lot of this quiet by effectively getting those laid off to sign a severance pay agreement in return for silence. Their selection methods for redundancies seem unethical I have seen teams where some of the best performers have been laid off and can only assume they played favourites. Not only this but I know that they have laid off people who have had recent family bereavements, are on maternity leave and who have just left a company to join GP - their morals and ethics are non existent! You are only a number here and there is only one way this company is going unfortunately for those of us who are left.
