Pros

Great company culture, fun environment, lots of upward mobility

Cons

Very political. Leadership plays favorites and performance is often overlooked in favor of moving up people already favored in the Gallo system. Pay is extremely low compared to other top suppliers. This leads to high turnover and most employees having to fill in in multiple roles, further stretching Gallo's dollar without compensating the employees fairly.

*I love the people I work with, most of them have become close friends of mind over the last 9 years. *I'm consistently blown away by the caliber of people across all areas of the company. *We have incredible exposure to the Gallo family & upper management. *Ultimately, I feel recognized and appreciated in the company. *Every job I've had at Gallo has kept me challenged and engaged, I love it!

Cons

Work/Life balance is hard in this industry. The good news is Gallo is making huge strides to fix this balance. Half day Fridays during the summer are amazing, and every boss I've ever had has been super flexible & understanding.

Pros

Unique in the CPG industry in that you have the opportunity to be exposed to all parts of business, from agriculture and wine making to operations and Sales. Being a part of a family owned business permeates the culture and promotes strong individual and corporate values. The business continues to grow and present new opportunities and challenges around every corner. The environment is fast paced and challenging, but strikes a great balance between hard work and celebrating success.

Cons

The commute can be a little long from the Bay area, but generally on par with typical Northern California commute times.
