-highly valued sales experience to gain straight out of college makes former Gallo employees highly sought after across multiple industries -competitive pay and benefits -fosters extremely tough selling skills

Cons

-horrific work life balance and disingenuous culture from management -highest employee turnover in the industry

Pros

The People - They are genuinely nice and make up the entire company. Respect - This is very clear as soon as you walk in the door. Everyone respects the other. There is no not saying hello to a VP level of averting a gaze from as higher up. (Which was very prominent at my last company.) Integrity - Most straight forward and honest people I've ever worked with Humility and Caring - All the family members who work here are down to earth and do not have an attitude regarding their stature in the work place. In fact they are the most caring of all employees and understand how important family is as well as work Amazingly Communicative - The interview process is rather long however they keep you posted and engaged the entire time. Getting into this company is well worth the longer process.

Challenging to find an opening because not many ever leave this company!

Fantastic opportunities to train cross-functionally, but don't expect to come from the outside and join the club. The dues to pay are high, the hours long and the fraternity is quite tight. They will value your outsider expertise but you will be trumped by dullwits who grew up with the family and have "do you remember when..." stories. Generally, people you work with are smart and passionate...

Cons

Drink the "wine" (kool-aide) in order to move up...you must live in Modesto, and you must have weekend things to do with the "work family" in order to be clued in for Monday. Lots of inside talk and chatty chatty, especially by those trying to impress VPs and GMs.
