No short term disability or maternity leave at the time of my employment. Came back after having a baby (all unpaid leave) with no more sick time since they used it all for that with a newborn and 2 other children. Sickness got us bad that winter and even with sick notes, management wouldn't accept them and fired me after 2.5 years. I understand missing too much; I offered to make up the time missed and was told no. It was unavoidable absence with proof but they didn't care. I was really good at my job and a top employee; so it's not like I had a bad record already.

Management does not care about employees, you are just a number to them. You are told to do one thing by management and once someone else catches on to what you are doing, management turns their back and said they didn’t tell me to do it that way.
