Pros

Benefits and pay are phenomenal. I love my health insurance and my 401k is packed after just 3 years.

Cons

GEICO pays well because the CSRs are in the line of fire. You will field calls for anything and everything and it can get frustrating FAST. Geico make sit very clear that they are concerned with the quantity of customers served rather than the quality of work done. People don't do their job and the rest of us are fielding the angry customers. Everyone I know has quit due to the pressure of taking more and more calls while cleaning up others laziness and still providing customer service to angry people. Insurance is highly regulated and the CSRs have no control over anything however every person that calls thinks we run the company. It's infuriating to be under intense pressure to take more and more calls, get pretty much NO sick time and get timed for any breaks. Yes at this level you have 30 minutes of any time break to pee, eat, have an existential crisis, etc. I want to quit after every phone call. The supervisors are usually balls of toxic positivity. Don't tell me not to complain about the customers when they spent 10 minutes yelling at me because THEY called the wrong company.

Pros

There’s not much of anything anymore

Cons

This company is horrible. After being work from home for almost 2 years, they are forcing people to go back into the office. Even though it’s been proven that working from home can work. They don’t care about their employees. I used to love my job, now I loathe and despise it. Completely stressed out. About to have a mental break down. Forced to talk to two customers at once, but told that we can’t tell the customer we are helping someone else as well, because we want them to fell like they have our undivided attention. Also not k owing if I will have a job from one day to the next. My previous department was taken away and we were all told that we were going to be doing something else that we all hated. To then be told “hey, we are offering OT to do the job we were previously assigned to do”. The way this company is ran, it’s a complete dumpster fire now.

Pros

Profit sharing and some benefits.

Cons

Take a look at all the 5 star reviews for this garbage company. All of them are short, and state “no cons that I can think of.” What kind of company doesn’t have a single con?? Every other non 5 star review is completely accurate. Geico is the Amazon of the insurance world. This company sells garbage to people who don’t know any better and they do it with a smile on their face. Take this review as your first red flag before beginning your “career” with GEICO. You will be an answering machine You will not have any input on how you do your job You will do it their way, or they’ll give you a box You will not be happy You will be wasting your time You will not make a difference in the company Heed this warning. Stay far away from this bottomless pit of garbage.
