Pros

Solid training and cute little mascots that say hello once in a while.

Cons

Trigger Warning: Mental Health This job crushed my well-being. Discrimination: If you happen to be neurodivergent, management will discriminate against you if you have any social disabilities such as Autism. They will bully those who have problems communicating verbally. Toxic Workplace: Floor supervisors will constantly remind you how much your job is on the line and how little security is on the line. Other department supervisors will throw others under the bus and try to target you. The director of claims sets unrealistic targets for claims adjusters at the entry level, which prevents anyone from promotion and will make keeping this job extremely difficult. Stress: The occupation is already stressful, given the daily barrage of rude customers, unprofessional attorneys, adverse carrier adjusters, and healthcare representatives. Having to deal with that and constantly dealing with upper management micromanaging can break anyone. Stress on the job has caused me physical pain, such as chest and back pain. This decline in my mental health nearly made me do some things to myself that would have adversely affected my physical health. Avoid this company at all costs.

Pros

It was a good place to work. Good 401k match. They used to have good raises (they used to be 10% each year) but Todd needs his bonuses so now they’re 1%.

Cons

The CIO Hari Govind is a coward. He implemented a new “up or out” system where we have to PIP out the bottom 10% every quarter. Senior management has asked multiple times for town halls or large group meetings to explain this along with other bs “metrics” but he’s always out of office. Hey Hari, if these plans are so great why can’t you stand behind them? Todd’s a coward too. The only time I’ve heard anything from him is when he decided to lay off 6% of the workforce two months before Christmas in a form email. But hey he got a $4 million bonus. Everyone is jumping ship. I coached my developers to leave as well while the goings good.

Pros

- Pay was good, merit raises were generous and yearly bonuses were excellent (before everything went south) - You will learn a lot very quickly and be well prepared to work on insurance

Cons

You've never seen a company go down so far and so fast. 10K employees gone in three years. An active effort to uproot the tenured, the higher paid, and replace them with new and cheaper labor. Finding any pretext to fire people for nonsensical reasons. Massive layoffs. Employees so burned out from overwork that they can't take it anymore, and forced to work from the office nearly full time again.
