Pros

Health Insurance, 3% 401K Match, Planned Time Off, Usual Bank Holidays

Cons

Constant pressure to meet goals from managers but no help in how to meet the goals. No consideration for differences in location and economic status near financial center. Under staffed, antiquated systems for processing transactions, The focus is on your weaknesses and they will be quick to tell you it is perceived you are weak in an area. Praise is non-existent unless it is the CEO bragging about how great GTE is. The focus is to do more with less people but they don't realize everyone is already giving 100%. They say they listen to the 'Members" and "employees". They listen and if it's not in alignment with what they "perceive", then they fire the employee and don't care if the member is unhappy. If you work there, my advice is to look for another job somewhere else where you will be treated with respect and courtesy.

Be Careful in speaking your opinions

Pros

Good Benefits, Working hours, Good Working Atmosphere and facilities; They try to be up to date on all current technologies

Cons

This is the typical "good ole boy" company. Its difficult to get promoted on what you know; it is definitely on "who" you know. You can speak your "view" or ideas on policies, procedures, etc but you are then viewed as a "negative" employee even though you are trying to help the situation. Its best to keep quiet and do your job not giving the company anything extra because it comes back at you. Just agree with Sr. Management even though you don't agree.
