Pros
From day one at Gainsight I have felt connected and cared about by every layer of management. I am continually given opportunities to grow and be challenged and I work with people who truly care about their work. The Gainsight mission is to be living proof you can win in business by being human first and this is not just lip service. People who don't align with the values at the executive level have been shown the door and Gainsight's reach goes far beyond employees and customers but also to communities. The programs they are running in India to help people in underserved communities and mothers returning to work gain employment (Gainsight has been able to hire people directly from these programs) are truly remarkable. This is a company I am very proud to work for and hope to build a career here for years to come.
Cons
The bar is high in CS (we are the CS company!) and the pressure of this along with some of the non scalable things we do makes the work life balance a challenge from time to time. I am sometimes guilty of needing to work on recharge days and weekend to not fall really behind. On the flip side I have also taken more vacation at this job than any other prior job so I know as long as I get my work done it does not matter when it happens.
