Pros

The last year has been a hard one in Tech, and I've heard some scarey things from friends of mine in the same industry at different companies. While Gainsight isn't different in the difficulty and number of challenges it has to face, it IS different in how it manages it. All teammate have experienced a hit since the downturn, but Gainsight is trying to mitigate the effect on their teammates as much as possible and I appreciate that.

Cons

-Sometimes there is SO much transparency about what's going on it can be a little bit scary but that's really just reality, not a 'Con' per se. I'd rather be prepared than blindsided. -We have been kinda short staffed since the downturn and I hope to see some new faces in my department soon. I don't want to lose anyone on my team because they feel overworked.

Pros

This company gets it. It's easy to look at a company that says they're "human first" and kind of roll your eyes, but I truly think that's at the core of who Nick is, and that trickles down throughout the organization. They transparently share information, good or bad, when they have it. The entire team treats each other as people with real lives outside of work, which establishes a kind of team-wide respect that has us wanting to do good work for each other. The people are excellent and talented, and as a company that was remote before COVID, know how to do little things to make people feel engaged and connected to teammates that might be on the literal other side of the world.

Cons

Promotions and raises are frozen due to downturn across tech and particularly SAAS organizations - of which Gainsight is one, and it's also who their customers generally are. While the benefits are very, very good across the board, one opportunity is a 401k match, which would be a welcome benefit.
