Pros
Great downtown Detroit location, and free lunch on Mondays, but that is the only Pro I can come up with.
Cons
Very poor salary provided for position compared to other companies. HR dept. does not take care of employees treated wrongly by supervisors/managers - they just say each has their own management style and we can't interfere (even though it was clear the person was being treated unfairly); Still lots of people in management, and other positions, that have no business being in them - totally unqualified. Benefits are not very good at all, health insurance is high, they force you to contribute to their 401K, but do not match at all. They offer you a discount on the parking garage and act like it is something good, but in all reality, it only saves you about $100 for the whole year (parking is $20/day)...other companies either offer passes to negate the expense or offer more in the way of your salary. In my 30 years of professional employment in a few different industries, this place was either the worst, or the second from the worst place I have ever worked....I should have listened to my gut instinct at the interview - a waste of time for me. They talk a good game as far as the culture and values as a company, but that is all - talk. They expect you to work a ton of overtime, but will not pay you for it since you are considered a "salary" employee (I don't think they have ever heard of exempt and non-exempt salary positions - no one gets O.T. pay).
