Unproductive Changes

Pros

Work from home is offered. Benefits are typical of the industry. Pay is typical of the industry.

Cons

Changes are being made that are not productive. Need a note in a file great. Why put it in there 5 different ways? It’s a waste of time. These changes are coming from the top but make zero sense for the employees doing the work. Instead of a 15 minute job you now have 30 minute job. That adds up at the end of the day. There are employees working 18-20 hrs a day that can’t keep up with the impossible new changes. There just aren’t enough hours in the day.

Pros

Gallagher overall, not just Gallagher Bassett, is a solid company.

Cons

Micro management times 10. If you excel at customer service you will not be recognized unless your unattainable numbers are met. Standards change faster than you get trained on expectations. Frequent promotions to individuals that have no management training. Do not expect the management team to care about you as a person, you will be treated as a number.

Pros

Some of the people are nice here. Not so much the producers, but the account managers are friendly.

Cons

It depends on who is in charge of the branch, but my current branch is run by the worst person possible. I stay late all the time with no OT even though I am salary, required to "work 5 hours extra each week" to cover lunch even if I have lunch at my cubicle and don't leave. You watch the salesman leave to go golfing and fool around while you re stuck doing all of the work they left. No a very female friendly place. All of the women are delegated to secretary roles and there is no movement possible to anything better.
