Pros

The right people could really move up. Starting pay was good for the job it was. During most of the year the hours were reasonable and being insurance industry there was always a vendor bringing in some kind of food or buying concert tickets or other perks for the staff.

Cons

The work could be very boring a lot of the time. Hours during 4th quarter busy season could get crazy. Rampant nepotism was a major problem, and adult children of senior staff could get away with murder and have no consequences. Very cliquey atmosphere.

Pros

Comoany has a recognition program. Company allows work from home for high performing adjusters. My former manager was great but not all managers are as good as she was.

Cons

The biggest con for me was I was under paid, I got lots of awards but never promoted after 2.5 years I left. Vacation benefits are only 2 weeks which most companies offer at least 3. The biggest problem is they do not effectively track incoming claims so you often are overwhelmed and there are so many different notes that have to be put in the file in different places that its very time consuming when you get new files. Compliance standards were becoming more and more extreme. Leaving was the best decision.

Pros

Opportunities for growth are present if you are willing to work hard to get them. Knowing the right people to ask is key, and they are on a regions level, not local level. They provide many sources of assistance with processes which work well if utilized. Regional and National Leadership is full of energy and enthusiasm. They show a true passion for the corporate values. The CEO is a genuinely nice person who shows his sincere appreciation if you are lucky enough to meet him.

Cons

Little to no raises provided unless you quit. Profits were funneled into acquisitions. Reviews were a joke and had nothing to do with work done, if they were even given- Not all reviews are given contrary to what was reported to HR. The reward for hard work is more work. In the office if you flirted with the COO you didn't have to follow rules, work hard, or even work regular hours. They stressed having work life balance, but the workload did not allow for any balance outside work.
