Pros
I have worked at Galloway for almost 7 years on the land development team. The best thing about this company is the people. Everyone across the company has a work hard, play hard mentality and are caring, compassionate people. - The work schedule is very flexible - The work itself is engaging. We have everything from simple projects up to large scale, challenging projects in a variety of disciplines - Galloway encourages personal and career growth. When I wanted to learn more about drainage design, my managers made sure to assign me to projects so that I could progressively learn drainage design from simple sites up to complex regional projects. - We have amazing clients who are great to work with. Galloway is a very relational company and truly caring about my clients puts more drive and passion into my work.
Cons
The only cons are scenarios you will encounter across the engineering industry. Salaried employees at an A/E firm should expect to have a cyclical work rate and put in more hours to meet big deadlines. This is no different at Galloway, but I don't mind putting in some extra effort because my coworkers are always there to help me when I need it.
