Pros

Gallup has a very strong culture based on its science and research and a powerful mission. It is very stimulating intellectually with no shortage of new things to learn or explore. Diversity is increasing dramatically with international hires and offices.

Cons

Based on the talent model, it is tough for some to switch roles or career paths midstream. Sometimes it is risky even to have the conversation unless you already know you are a fit.

Pros

Their strengths-based analysis is actually a lot more than just company lingo. The theories and practical uses of the Clifton StrengthsFinder may well be the most valuable thing to take with you from this job.

Cons

The hiring methods are just as problematic as they are helpful. Jobs are also assigned by nepotism at least as much at Gallup as at other major corporations. While it varies from one call center supervisor to another, in general they could walk the talk a bit more and implement their own strengths-based management a bit more. Quota adjustment practices (as well as others) are shady at best.

Pros

I mostly appreciated the 'free your mind' atmosphere, that everybody was doing their job not interfering in anyone's work unless being asked, that some of these colleagues became friends outside the job and even if I don't work there anymore, I still have these friends.

Cons

Sometimes undeserved critiques. Poor management.
