Pros

Gallup used to be a great place to work until fairly recently when the pay and title structure changed radically.

Cons

The Gallup brand is well-respected, but that comes mostly from the polling business and not the Consulting division. Management is aloof and the people do not walk their talk. It is a homogenous environment with several employees who are married to each other or related in some other form or fashion.

Pros

A particularly attractive employerfor younger employees directly out of business school, with great advancement opportunities and competitive compensation. Very Clear Expectations and Advancement Standards.

Cons

Flat Hierarchy - and once beyond a certain level advancement opportunities become more limited. Significant workload demands due to current lean staffing levels.

Pros

If you do end up at Gallup, learn as much as you can as quickly as you can. The content, employee engagement & Strengths are incredible and the research is amazing. Reach out to as many researchers as you can and learn, learn, learn.

Cons

If you are in Sales the environment is horrible. The numbers speak for themselves. I worked in Irvine where there was more than 100% turnover in 24 months and the sales cycle was 2+ years which means out of the 10 or so sales folks hired, only 2 had a sale. Management is horrible and admittedly so.
