Pros

The tools and knowledge that lies in the hands of this company are nothing short of spectacular. Gallup can truly help to change the world we all live in.

Cons

ARROGANT! I've heard it from clients and prospects alike. We think we are so much better than everyone else. Sadly, we are the only ones with that opinion. There are a few client relationships that are World-Class, but only a few. We spend months and even years just trying to educate prospects on who we are. Everyone has heard of the Gallup Poll, but are absolutley blown away that we have a consulting division. Well, the truth is, we really don't. If we actually had a marketing strategy rather than cold calling into C Level Execs, we might actually get some leads and companies might actually know what we do. We publish business books as our marketing strategy.... oh, and the odd, poorly run client summits. I have been in prospects offices that have the full compliment of our pulications and don't even know they belong to us. We are so proud of ourselves, that it is sickening. Wake up and smell the coffee. We need to turn things around now, before it's too late!

Pros

*Gallup's science around selection, employee engagement, and customer engagement is incredibly powerful. *I have met some of my closest friends and have gained a huge amount of self awareness in my time at Gallup *This place is packed with mission and purpose, and the tools to change the world

Cons

*Unfortunately, Execs don't believe in telling anyone what we do, so there is virtually no demand for our offerings. *no strategy to shorten the rediculously long sales cycle *incredible arrogance *the development for new hires is laughable *expectations set in the hiring process are not met- not even close
