Cons

benefits not best in class, small company , having a hard time dealing with new economy, no clear strategy seems to be changing frequently, belief in a few core issues but not clear how to make them real throughout the organization

Pros

The range of products and clients are interesting. The 'science' behing said products also interesting to read. I worked with some very talented people who bought passion to their roles.

Cons

Family run business and I mean family run. Large chunks of the senior managment team are in their positions only because they have been with the company for 15+ years and spend their weekends hanging out with the family. Lots of talk about flexible schedules which actually translated to an expectation that I would frequently work 60+ hours a week as and when required in return for the very odd afternoon off. Constantly required to fill in surveys regarding my workplace satisfaction without any action ever being taken to remedy anything.

Pros

Gallup is has the best work/life balance of any firm around. Colleagues are generally bright people and solid "thinkers". Office environment is pleasent.

Cons

Unfortunately Gallup is not a true consulting company. With few exceptions the firm is much more product-oriented and is not structured to allow consultants to excel.
