      Work life balance. Great co workers

      The company decided to flatten org structure. Instead of get rid of poor leadership that makes big bucks they laid off a ton of good talented people.

      Pros

      Pay is on par with competitors in the bay area.

      Cons

      Yesterday the company announced that all employees working within 50 miles of an office are required to return to the office 4 days a week, beginning March 6th. This is after promising employees that remote work was here to stay. Not only is three weeks incredibly short notice, but there physically are not enough workspaces in the office to fit all employees. VPs + directors had zero answers on the logistics of how this would work. With how little thought went into this announcement it seems like a move to reduce headcount without layoffs.
