Pros

+ Most departments have a good crew of people + Solid Roth 401K match

Cons

- Small yearly bonus that hasn't moved in 5 years - Career pathing blocked by either a degree or 5 year gaps of experience (even if you are doing all the work of the next level) - Benefits continue to shrink each year

Pros

Great work-life balance Excellent engineers who are a joy to collaborate with Interesting products to work on In general, Garmin seems to value their employees, promotes from within, and actually implements employees' advice. Stable company Lively office with great amenities and activities 12.5% 401(k) matching Excellent health/dental/vision coverage, with low premiums

Cons

Hybrid work from home model (3 days in office, 2 at home). Compensation is not bad, but could be considered lower than average for the area / years of experience. However, I think the benefits help close that gap. Can be lots of strange bureaucracy at times.
