Pros

Cool projects to work on Great benefits Job security

Cons

Management is completely tone deaf to what engineers/people actually want. They are removing the hybrid work schedule and reverting back to forced full time in office, with no sort of compensation for losing this huge benefit. Morale at the office has taken a huge hit because of this, not only because of the loss of WFH but also because management has been super shady with how they have gone about it, not disclosing information and lying to our faces about the reasons for this decision. On top of this the raises this year were basically non-existent, even for those who worked extremely hard and put in extra time to get things done on schedule. Management is basically giving all their employees a big middle finger, and saying if you don't like it then leave. Garmin has gone the way of every other big tech corporation, except for compensation, even through they claim to have small company values.

Pros

Good benefits Good work-life balance

Cons

- Management works with friends and favoratism first. - Dont care about people to improve and manage and only with themselves. -Cutting corners in certification. - Is manager or lead for salary and not for the teams they suppose to lead. - Engineer are pointed to Garmin values but managers/lead seems are excluded from it Career opportunities based if management likes you and if you not a pain for them above competence - Pay raise no based on equal performance but engineer with lower salary get more raise then experience with higher salary (social leveling of salary) - Incompent project planning and at the end engineers at fault not management
