1. I heard a lot about "servant leadership" when I came in almost 5 years ago - I see very, very little of it.
2. Tendency toward micromanagement of engineers.
3. Engineering management positions have been awarded to younger engineers who are not ready for it (as evidenced by 1 and 2).
4. Most teams are not very open to flexible work schedules - at least not on a regular basis.
5. Compensation is probably a little low; don't expect any kind of annual bonus; raises tend to lag inflation. (Benefits make up for some of this, but probably not all of it.)
