Pros

Very vibrant and goal driven organization. Incredible summer picnics, winter dinners, and lots of social events. The type of work changed all the time and was very rewarding. Parking garage (car doesn't get sun fade or snow). Lots of "new hire" kids out of college kept the culture young and fun.

Cons

Frankly, it's hard to stand out with so many extremely smart people. I know that sounds self-serving but I consider myself a pretty ambitious and dedicated worker, and I would rate myself an average performer on my team at Garmin. This combined with low turnover also hinders advancement. The pay was under industry but the health and other benefits made up for it.

Pros

Medical Benefits Basketball goal/ping pong tables There's a Starbucks in the office.

Cons

Management has no idea what is going on. The job gets progressively worse the longer I stay here. There's a myth of internal advancement opportunities and growth within the company, but in reality everyone either makes lateral moves or leaves the company. The management is under-qualified, while there is a bottle neck of worthy employees who know whats going on working underneath them and filling the gaps until one by one they leave for greener pastures.
