Pros

Most people are good people who are trying to work hard, do the right thing for safety and customer satisfaction. Good work hours Decent flexibility Decent benefits

Cons

Management shifts priorities every couple months causing serious inefficiency. Excessive schedule pressure and unrealistic expectations can cause headaches for those actually doing the work. Average compensation in a high tax, high cost of living area

Pros

Benefits are out of this world. You won't find any better anywhere else except with the government. Coworkers are amazing, really good folks at Garmin

Cons

Management structure is a nightmare. All decisions through one bottleneck. No processes in place to share responsibilities. Pay is rather low compared to other organizations for the amount of responsibility. I know they were making adjustments when I left, but it was still about 10-20% too low. There's a stock bonus program that they don't tell anyone about that helps offset it, but you aren't eligible until you've been there 5+ years.
